Professional History:
Steve attended college at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California where he studied sculpture and video production. He also spent a year at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, studying drama and photography.
In 1980, he started working in video production after teaching junior high school for several years. He worked as a freelance set designer and photographer for three years in San Francisco.
In 1986, Bank of America hired Steve to produce, photograph and present multi-image media.
In 1988, he shifted into videography, working as a cameraman, occasionally directing and producing as well.
In 1996, he returned to freelancing and has been shooting corporate, broadcast, commercial and documentary projects in the Bay Area and nationwide ever since.
Personal History
Steve was born in Minot, North Dakota, but lived in The Dalles and Corvalis, Oregon before moving to Berkeley, and then Davis, California just in time for 3rd grade. At age 12, his family moved to Dacca, East Pakistan (what is now Bangladesh) for 3 years and then Lahore, Pakistan for 3 more years before returning to the United States in 1970 to go to college in Oakland (see above).
